I get up to 10 of these emails a day.

Here's a copy and paste with names removed.

"Hi. My name is (random name), and I see you are a fan of (band or singer). I too am a big fan of their work and I was wondering if you would be kind enough to upload a copy of their albums for me."

I f'ing hate leeches that claim to be a fan of an artist yet they are not willing to throw down a few buck to buy any of their merch. Almost as much as scenesters you meet at those culture nights and film festivals.

BTW. I'm really digging Miscellaneous Ailments Foundation.

Do You Remember Rock 'n' Roll Radio

The band and song that changed my life in the early 80's. This is also the band that started my "going to concerts" addiction in the early 90's. Gabba Gabba Hey!

Okay. Okay. Enough of the "are you alive" emails.

Yeah I know I've lost to some of you so far in 2008, but I have a good reason. I started a second job at the San Diego County's Registar of Voters the day after Christmas, and it has kicked my ass. For both jobs I would leave me house at 4:45am and not pull into my driveway into around 10:30pm. For the last few weeks, the ROV (Registar of Voters) job has been 7 days a weeks and so far I have had a total of two days off this year. During yesterdays election (believe it or not, but I have not bothered to look at the results yet), I worked from 5:30am to 9am this morning. Strangely enough, I don't feel that tired, and I found myself looking for things to do around the house. I just finished mowing my grass (which was the first time since the second week of Dec. 2007).

Alright. Off to catch up on all my other online profiles.
